How to use this number
Quote the package, not the session
Clients buy an outcome over a period of time. Put the package price in your proposal and keep the effective rate per session for yourself: it tells you whether the package pays what your time is worth, and it is the number to check when you change the length or the number of sessions.
Ask for the deposit at the moment of yes
A deposit turns a verbal yes into a booked engagement and protects the calendar time you are holding. The recommendation follows program length: about 50% for programs of 6 weeks or less, 40% up to 16 weeks, and 30% for anything longer, so a long program never front-loads months of fees. Say in your agreement whether the deposit is refundable, and on what terms.
Collect the balance your usual way
The balance due later is what remains after the deposit. You might collect it before the midpoint of the program or in monthly installments, with an invoice from your own Stripe account. IntakePay collects the deposit, one link per client, together with your intake questions.
