For tutors who sell packages and programs

Enroll the student and take the program deposit, in one link

The parent or guardian answers your enrollment questions about the student’s grade, subjects and goals, and pays the program deposit by card. The money goes straight to your own Stripe account.

The duct-tape version

The way many tutors collect an intake and a deposit today

  • Enrollment details collected over text, a few at a time
  • A payment link sent separately, then a follow-up, then another
  • A spreadsheet of which families have paid for the term
  • IntakePay replaces all of it with one private link per client, and a page for your bio when you want one

How it works

Set up once: your business, your Stripe account, your plan. After that, each new client takes three steps.

  1. Step 1: Create the client

Add the parent or guardian and the program deposit. Your enrollment questions are copied onto their link.

  2. Step 2: Send one link

Text it, email it or send it on WhatsApp. IntakePay never emails the family.

  3. Step 3: They enroll and pay

The parent answers your questions and pays the deposit by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The row flips from Pending to Paid and you get an email.

Is it for you?

IntakePay is built around one way of working. If that isn’t yours, a simpler tool will serve you better.

Built for you if

  • You sell tutoring as packages or programs, such as a 10-week course, a test-prep block or a term, paid upfront or with a deposit.
  • You enroll students through a parent or guardian.
  • You want the student’s grade, subjects and goals before the first session.
  • You are an independent tutor, not a tutoring center with staff.

Not for you if

  • You tutor per session and get paid session by session. You don’t need this.
  • You need a booking or scheduling tool. IntakePay doesn’t do calendars or availability.
  • You need to collect medical, diagnosis or learning-support information. Your client is the parent: keep the intake to academics and discuss anything sensitive with them directly.
  • You run a center where several tutors need their own logins.

Try it before you sign up

Open the link a fictional tutor would send. Fill it in on your phone and see what happens on your side when they pay. Nothing is charged.

Questions from tutors

Who fills in the form, the parent or the student?

The parent or guardian. They are your client and the one paying, so the Tutoring template is written to them. It asks about the student’s grade, subjects and goals, and nothing beyond academics.

Can I charge for individual sessions?

No. IntakePay is for programs and packages with an upfront deposit. If you charge session by session, a regular payment link is simpler.

Can parents pick session times?

No. IntakePay doesn’t do scheduling. The template asks which times generally work so you can plan, and you confirm the schedule with the family directly.
