What IntakePay will never do
Every feature left out keeps setup to three steps and the link simple enough for any client to finish. These are decisions, not a roadmap.
Every decision, by where it applies
If you need one of these in the same tool, IntakePay is the wrong fit, and it is better to know that before you start than after.
Between you and your client
- No email to your client, ever
- IntakePay never emails the people you send links to. You send the link yourself, so it arrives from you, in a thread they already trust.
- No documents from your client
- Clients answer in text and, when your form asks, add up to three photos. No PDFs, contracts or scans.
- No automated reminders
- IntakePay will not nudge your client on your behalf. If a link sits unpaid, you decide whether to follow up.
- No review requests
- IntakePay will not ask your clients for ratings or testimonials.
Jobs for the tools you already use
- No contract builder
- No templates to negotiate, no redlines, no envelopes to chase. Your terms, in your own words, signed with a typed name before they pay and kept with the payment.
- No calendar of our own
- No availability or time slots to manage. Keep the scheduler you use today: once your client has paid, they pick a time on it, right on the page when it’s Calendly.
- No CRM, client portal or session notes
- No client journal and nothing for your client to log into. They get a link; you get a list of who has paid.
- No project management
- No timelines, checklists or kanban boards. IntakePay ends where the engagement begins.
- No CRM integrations or Zapier
- CSV export covers the spreadsheet case, and the MCP server works alongside your other MCP tools. No HubSpot sync, no practice-management plug-ins.
- No outbound webhooks
- No integrations beyond MCP. Fewer things to configure, fewer things to break.
Money and links
- No free tier
- Free until your first client pays you, with a card on file, then $19/month. One plan with everything in it.
- No shared checkout
- Your page is one address, but every booking gets its own link and payment, so each payment matches exactly one set of answers.
- No refund button
- Refunds happen in your own Stripe Dashboard, where the money is. A full refund shows here as Refunded.
- No partial-refund display
- Partial refunds are logged, and the client stays Paid. Only a full refund changes the status.
The app itself
- No team accounts
- No analytics or charts
- No app, PWA or push notifications
- No drag-and-drop form builder
- No AI features
- No translations
- No dark mode
- No onboarding tour
- No confetti
